Tuesday

In the morning we had our whole school assembly. This afternoon we were supposed to be going to Kincaid House to sing however our audience changed at the last minute when the snow started falling heavily. The secondary children enjoyed a great selection of Christmas songs. Please look on the P2/3 blog for video clips. They are great! :-)

Pupil of the term

Well done to Nicholas who is the pupil of the term in P1. Sarah was also pupil of the week last week.

Weather

This week, from Monday to Thursday, is an activities week in school. Although there are lots of fun Christmas activities happening, this is not a working week. The school will be open from 9:00 - 3:00 from Monday to Wednesday and until 12 noon on Thursday no matter what the weather. However, I would ask you to make your own decision about bringing children to school having regard to the weather forecast, the condition of the road and the difficulties of your own individual journey. If in doubt, stay home. Please make your children and your own safety the priority.

word tins

Although everyone in P1 has no more homework until after the holidays, I am keen that word tins are taken home and gone over so that children are more familiar with new words. This will be beneficial for when we return to school after Christmas and begin reading new books. Thanks for your help. :-)
