Tuesday and Wednesday
Children can wear their own clothes on Tuesday and Wednesday. All of P1 are going on the winning house day out to The Big Adventure so lunch is not needed tomorrow. No money is needed for the trip.

Prize Giving
This is a little reminder about prize giving on Monday. School uniform should be worn. School bags will not be needed and lunch should be brought in a plastic bag as lunch cannot be bought on Monday or Tuesday next week.

Sports Day
As you know Friday is Sports Day. Your child should wear a t-shirt the same colour as the house they are in. Ardgowan is red, Lyle is blue and Rankin is green. Jogging trousers or shorts should also be worn. Sports Day is a whole school event and because of this there is only room for the children and staff to attend. Photos of the day will be posted on the blog.

Largs
Due to the warm weather, if you would like your child to wear shorts or a summer dress instead of trip uniform, that will be absolutely fine.
Largs
We are looking forward to a great trip tomorrow please remember to put suncream on your child and to send them to school with a hat if you would like them to wear it. We are planning to be outside for the day so pack extra juice. Thanks.

Glasgow Museum Resource Centre
We were learning all about portraits today. The children were split into two groups and rotated round the different activities. To begin with in my group, Nicholas was put into a picture frame and everyone had to describe him. He posed very well! We then had to look at ourselves in a mirror and try out different facial expressions to see if the features of our face changed. We then had to draw our face on a big piece of paper before cutting up some collage materials and sticking them on. After we had done this we were taken into one of the 'pods' where paintings, sculptures and other artifacts, which are not on display in the Glasgow Museums at present, are stored. It was huge and we were shown a number of portraits. The children had to describe what they saw. Everyone was really well behaved and it was a great day out.
Remember that our trip next week is to Largs and it is on Tuesday instead of Thursday. This means trip uniform on Tuesday and Wednesday next week. Also another packed lunch is needed as well as some money to but an ice cream.

Thursday trip
We are going to The Glasgow Resource Centre to take part in an art session. It should be a good day and children are reminded to bring a packed lunch with them.
